how much blood is typically taken, I read about two table spoons. When I went it was much more. The blood draw was the worst part, took 10 min. Nothing like when you get blood drawn during your yearly physical; small prick, 2 min done.

Answer: PRP Hair Loss Treatment Hello and thank you for your question. The blood required for the procedure is obtained through one needle stick unless there is poor flow from a small vein, or the needle moves etc. The amount of blood required/ drawn is proportional to the size of the area being treated and in average is approximately 16-20 cc for injections ONLY and without microneedling and topical PRP application. Answer: How much blood for PRP The amount of blood required for PRP treatment depends on the size of the area to be covered and the concentrating ability of the PRP system.Generally speaking the amount drawn varies between 20-60 cc's (2-4 tablespoons).Roughly about 1/3 of that amount becomes usable PRP. In experienced hands the blood draw should take about 1 minute.
