My doctor has recommended me to consume a painkiller,anti-inflammatory drug and an antibiotic for three days. The thing is,I felt a considerable amount of pain and pricking during the procedure but right now I don't feel any sort of discomfort. I have also read that pain killers and other drugs reduce the efficiency of PRP.Should I take these drugs or not? I don't feel the need to take these though.
Answer: Medications following PRP injections Thank you for your question. If you are having no discomfort, I don't see a reason for taking a medication for pain. If one is needed, I would recommend acetaminophen (Tylenol). As for antibiotics, while I personally do not use them, this is up to the discretion of the administering physician.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.

Answer: Post PRP care Hi Muhammad Tayyab, I don't typically prescribe these medications following PRP injections. If you are not having any discomfort, then narcotic pain medications shouldn't be necessary. I would discuss your concerns with the physician that prescribed these medications. Good luck!
