Dr. Goldstein is very knowledgeable and friendly. Takes time to know each patient and address any questions. He has great bedside manner and even called me after my first injections to make sure I was doing ok. Very clean office and friendly staff as well!
My experience with Dr. Goldstein was excellent! Dr.Goldstein is very caring and genuine. He Listens carefully and does not diminish the feelings and concerns of his patient. He is optimistic about the PRP treatment but he does not encourage false hopes. I was pleased with the outcome of my treatment and would definitely recommend Dr. Goldstein.
Dr. Goldstein and staff were very friendly and professional. Dr. Goldstein has an excellent bedside manner and takes the time to truly care for his patients and address all of their concerns. I was very pleased with my decision to use Dr. Goldstein and I will be returning in the near future. I highly recommend this doctor and office.
Have been dealing with hair loss for awhile, mostly due to medications and auto immune diseases. Tried almost everything but not candidate for hair replacement. Been wearing wigs for 13 years even though still had long hair. Tired of wigs and read on real self about this therapy. Dr. Goldstein called me personally to set up first appointment. So far I have had two treatments. Usual is four but he recommends six since my hair loss has been going on for awhile. Only negatives are that it is costly and pinches when injections are performed. Updated on 13 Apr 2018: Dealing with progressive hair loss for at least 20 years. Frustrated with just topicals. This is my third session with Dr Goldstein. Very gentle with me and this visit hurt the least amount. No residual discomfort. Need patience to wait at least six months to see if any results. Would highly recommend Dr Goldstein!!
After traditional methods (Minoxidil, laser comb, etc.) at other treatment centers have proven unsuccessful, Dr. Goldstein's website was discovered, and the PRP treatment selected as a last resort. The procedure is performed in a modern, comfortable, and convenient location, and is relatively painless. Due to the nature of the treatment, it is far too soon to tell how successful it will be; this can take several months or longer...
Went for my first PRP treatment: Dr. Goldstein was very thorough and took time to made sure I understood exactly what the procedure entailed. He had good bedside manner and the room where the procedure occurred was clean and comfortable. The procedure was smooth and virtually pain free. He called me later that night to ask me how I was feeling which I appreciated. Looking forward to seeing what the future beholds with regard to this treatment.
Dr. Goldstein was very accommodating. He took the time to explain the procedure and helped me to understand what to expect. He made sure I felt 100% comfortable prior to starting PRP. Dr. Goldstein went above and beyond, not just during the procedure, but he even followed up with me later that evening to see how I was feeling. I was truly amazed with how much he cared. I highly recommend a visit to Dr. Goldstein if you are looking for some honest advice.
Dr. Goldstein thoroughly explained the procedure to me, what I could expect and how long the process could take. I have already started to see small improvements. I would thoroughly recommend his services.
I was so surprised when a friend told me she had success with PRP b/c I had never heard of PRP. She explained that the treatment was non-surgical (no scars) and cost a fraction of getting transplants. I had no idea. Her hair looked wonderful. So I made an appointment for the free screening with her doctor, and signed up for a series of 4 injections. Office was clean and neat, Dr. Goldstein was sincere, thoughtful and very professional. Procedure took about 45 minutes. Spa provided a courtesy shampoo and blow dry and I was good to go. No-one could tell I had had a treatment. He called me at home that evening to check if I was okay. (I was fine.) I only started last week but I am very excited about the prospect of tossing my wig away!
Dr. Goldstein was kind, knowledgeable and considerate to any of my discomfort during the PRP treatment. He always followed up to see how I felt after treatments. Treatments are not painless but the doctor was considerate of my pain level.
A relatively small percent of patients will have side effects which can include growing hair elsewhere. This effect is easily managed with laser treatment. Minoxidil medication was originally developed to lower blood pressure, so some patients do experience that; e.g. feeling light-headed, extra heart beats, fainting. Immediately stop using Minoxidil if you experience this.
Unfortunately, not. If this worked, no one would be bald. Many balding men shave their heads as it often looks better than if they don't. If this caused their hair to regrow, everyone would do it. Odds are that PRP would be your best approach.
IMO you likely have androgenetic alopecia but you would be well advised to seek a specialist in hair loss to be sure. There are many approaches to treatment for this disorder because there is no one treatment that works for everybody. While there are testimonials for all sorts of treatments regardless if they are spurious, crazy, costly and in some cases harmful, you should be reassured that there are treatment options that will work for the majority of persons. I suggest the following treatment approach: Minoxidil (liquid), Low level laser light therapy, Vitamin D3 (4000 units) and PRP. I recommend that all four treatment approaches be employed simultaneously and continued for six months before seeking alternative treatments.
It can take months. There is nothing you can do except wait. The good news is that it these side effects will go away but in many cases in takes a long time. There are many patient forums on this subject. Do some Googling and discover what others in your situation went through and how long it took to resolve.
Losing hair is stressful and can be a factor in depression but being treated for hair loss using PRP is not a known cause of depression.
