Vomiting dried or old blood - otherwise known as coffee ground emesis - is worrisome of a stomach or GI ulcer. This needs to be quickly worked up by a primary care doctor or GI specialist. If it continues, go to the emergency department. Bleeding in the stomach and/or intestines can be a life threatening emergency.
