Im currently taking cetirizine hcl 10 mg once a day & montelukast sod 10 mg once a day, can this interfere with my tummy tuck & bbl? Should i wait a certain time after taking these for my suegeries?
Answer: Tummy Tuck and Allergy Medication Thank you for your question.Generally speaking, allergy medications should not be a problem or effect your candidacy for a tummy tuck surgery. With that being said, it is important that you discuss any medications that you are currently taking with your operating surgeon and with your medical doctor who will be providing you with medical clearance in advance of your procedure. In some cases, if there are increased bleeding risks or other complication risks associated with your current allergy medicine, your allergist may prescribe you an alternative that would be considered 'safer' to use. Again, please discuss your current medication use with your operating surgeon. I hope you find this helpful and I wish you all of the best!

Answer: Tummy tuck and BBL Hello and thank you for your question. I recommend asking your medical physician and allergist about the safety of these medications, but in general this should not be a problem. If you are a good candidate for a tummy tuck, this can be done through a low and short incision, all completely below the bikini line. The belly button can be designed to look natural and have no scars on the exterior. Your muscles can also be plicated resulting in a flat abdomen. A BBL can be performed at the same time for improved buttock and waist contour. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Allergy Meds and Surgery? Mommyxx4. It is best to do BBL first, followed 4-6 months later by the Tummytuck because recovery from both done simultaneously is too difficult. As far as the allergy meds go, check with your surgeon and allergist prescribing the meds to be certain there are no contraindications. Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!

Answer: Allergy medicines and surgery The issue would be whether the allergy medications have components which could affect the anesthesia or blood clotting. Discuss with your allergist first; if there is a contraindication, you maybe able to switch to an alternative medication.

Answer: Tummy tuck and BBl I prefer to perform the Bbl first and then perform the tummy tuck at a later time. As for your allergy meds, it likely should not be a problem. Discuss it with your surgeon.
