Nurse injector said I wasn't a good candidate for under eye filler. Am I? (photos)

Thank you for including your photos and after viewing your condition, I do believe you will benefit from a filler! The under eye area is a concern for many and the filler helps smooth out the area making the under eye appear less tired/dark. In addition, you do have some fatty tissue that can be removed by a surgeon if the filler does not reach your expectations. Good Luck! 

You can have under eye filler but the better option that addresses both the under eye fat and hollowness is scarless transconjunctival lower blepharoplasty with repositioning of the eye fat bags to the hollow area with long lasting results.

I believe that you can treat the dark lines under your eyes with filler. You will need to find the right experienced provider. It is always a good idea to  have injected a filler that can be dissolved if the results are not as desired.

It is really hard to tell from the pictures but you look like fillers under your eyes would work nicely and IPL would probably not be effective at all.  I would suggest getting another opinion with a provider that has experience in treating this area.  Good luck

Hi, Genuine424. From your photos it actually looks like you are a great candidate for under eye fillers, provided they are done by a VERY experienced and knowledgeable provider. 
Perhaps your nurse injector does not have much experience with this procedure, so it is really for the best if she stays away from your under eye area. These injections are technically very complex. Many providers have been so badly burned by the unpredictable and poor results from their attempts at under eye filler injection, that most of them (fortunately) stopped doing them. I have been doing these injections for many years, and still it is a very difficult procedure. 
What makes you a great candidate: young, elastic skin, minimal nature of your problem, and what sounds like realistic expectations and openness to the dialogue with your provider. You should do very well with a small amount of filler. I would recommend against surgery, IPL, or fat injections in this area for you.

Hello. Thanks for your question. Without seeing you in person, I would think you would be a good candidate for under eye filler. You would need to go to an experienced injector to make sure it looks okay and does not make you look overfilled. I would highly recommend getting a second opinion.

Thanks for the pictures and question.  You look like you could benefit from some tear trough fillers based on the pictures.  What the pictures don't tell is why you have puffy eyes.  This can be due to fluid or fat.  Fluid is caused many rare medical conditions and also allergies.  If you have allergies (sneezing, clear runny nose, itchy watery eyes), then treating them would decrease the fluid buildup under the eyes.  Treating someone with under eye fillers that has a lot of active allergy issues can lead to even worse swelling, so I encourage treating the allergies before the fillers to get the best result.  Good luck!

Hi,Fillers are reserved for patients that have pronounced hollows in the under eye without significant under eye bags. There is some truth to the fact that under eye fillers can also render a bluish hue to treated area when placed superficially. It is hard to make a definitive comment about your candidacy for under eye fillers without seeing you in person.Best,

In my opinion you are good candidate for filler under the eyes, just try to find an expert esthetic doctor who understands your needs and whose esthetic vision fits yours.
Most important, try to find one esthetic doctor who can use filler like sculptress use clay.

Thanks for writing,If there is one area that is and can be exceedingly difficult to inject, it is the eyelids. The skin is paper thin the muscle can be paper thin, and the fat pads are well isolated pockets and very distinct. Someone who inject this area,in my experience, must be an expert. I have seem too many nurse injectors or poorly trained injectors trying this and create problems that patients are very sorry they were injected. There is no room for a mistake here,  if perfectly thin lines are not placed correctly removing he excess is very difficult.
