I think it's normal to have some swelling during 2-4 weeks but if it lasts for 2 months I guess it's too long. It depends on density of gel which was used. If it was used proper filler for acne scar, swelling will disappear after 2 weeks. In your case, looks like you need to go for hyaluronidase. Fillers will last depending the quality of product which used, between 6 month to 1,5 year. With hyaluronidase injection it is reversible within couple days. Thats why I do not recommend permanent fillers. Try to find a doctor who understands your needs and whose esthetic vision fits yours. Most important, try to find one esthetic doctor who can use filler like sculptress use clay. There are no certain protocols about using hyaluronidase. Where to inject, depth, volume and density of the filler are also important for injecting hyaluronidase. Brand name of the hyaluronidase also changes amount of units. In my experience, it doesn't affect skin tissues but only hyaluronic fillers. Keep in touch with your esthetic doctor.
