I'm so glad that I found Dr. Stella! I first went to see Dr. Desyatnikova feeling very badly about mistakes that had been made during a facelift about a year and a half prior. That procedure had been performed by a different surgeon. I was left with some avoidable scarring and unevenness in my face. My self esteem had been affected, and I just wanted to look acceptable again. Dr. Stella listened to my concerns, and very honestly told me what she could do for me by performing a mini facelift to reduce the scarred area. Then she said that she could actually make me look some better that very day, if I wanted her to use some fillers. I said yes, and after some Voluma and Botox, I did walk out of her office with more confidence and also hope that she could resolve other issues I had going on. Dr. Desyatnikova has a keen eye for balance and aesthetics, and is an artist with her needle! She is very calming and encouraging, and listens to my concerns and questions. The office staff is kind, responsive and easy to talk to. I've been seeing Dr. Stella for about two years now, and plan to see her regularly in the future!
Dr. Stella has performed a few procedures for me, botox, fillers etc. I go a few places for a few different things but would only return to Dr. Stella for tricky procedures like filler under my eyes. This is a delicate area that can go horribly wrong if the injector is not skilled and my experience with her was fantastic. Her office is a bit pricey but for any procedure that requires more experience and an eye for artistry, it's worth it.
I used to look pretty rough, but thanks to some lifestyle changes and then visiting Doctor Stella, now I just look pretty! She is not only an M.D., but an artist with a great eye for facial proportion. I first started seeing her for fillers/Botox in various places (which she and her nurses are also excellent at), and eventually got the PermaLip implants (size Medium) after we determined this was the best solution to get the results I wanted. Doctor Stella is so experienced and good at this that the implants look really wonderful and natural, so that nobody can tell they're not my natural lips unless I tell them (of course it does feel a little different when other people kiss me or perform dental work, but I don't really notice the lip implants any more). Hooray, thanks Doctor Stella!
I went to Dr. Desyatnikova's clinic as part of an effort to merely research what could be done for the bags under my eyes. She suggested that I begin with my upper cheeks to build a sort of shelf under my eyes. An hour later I was starring at the mirror in disbelief. I seem to suffer from some sort of prescription-drug-related lipoatrophy that makes me look far older than I am. The hollow, thinned-out channels crossing from my tear ducts down to my outer jaw made me wince at every photo or video depicting me. No more! I hoped for some relief. I ended up gorgeous. I look like a male model or something. I wish I hadn't waited so long. Don't feel vain or silly. Just do it. Updated on 30 May 2017: It's now been over 3 years since my face was drastically improved, and the filler (restylane) has NOT dissolved. There is even one spot where her too much was added, forming a sharp ridge that I'm not perfectly pleased with, and it shows no sign of diminishing. My point is that I read everywhere that the "down side" to juvederm & restylane is that it only lasts six months. Well, I'm at over 6x that period with no noticeable waning of the effect.
I had juvederm placed under my eyes four years ago and hated it ever since. I kept thinking it would go away and to wait it out. Finally I got up the nerve to have it dissolved with vitrase and it is GONE!!! No more pillows under my eyes. Of course I still have the original bags but who cares:) I am soooo happy right now!
Recently, I took the plunge and had her do my rhinoplasty. I am extremely happy with the results! My nose is perfect, even better than the digital imaging photos she showed me during my pre-op visit.
Dr. Stella is truly an expert in her field! I could not be more pleased with my experience with Dr. Stella and her staff. I had considered having a rhinoplasty for many years. I had several reasons for putting it off, one of which was I was afraid it might completely change the way I looked, or look like I'd obviously had a nose job. Dr. Stella thoroughly prepared me for every step of the procedure. She explained what she could and could not do. She patiently answered all of my questions. My results are natural looking and look better than the digital imaging. If there is anything I could change it would only be that I had done it sooner!
Changed my Life! - Seattle, WA
I wanted to improve my mid-face and neckline, having reached that early 50's stage. I just wanted to look refreshed, as a better version of myself, not become someone else.
At 54, have nasial folds, slack temples, and undereye hollowness. Effects of Juvederm only lasted 2 days for me. If you have never tried it, I would recommend only buying one vial to help reduce the costly lesson in case it doesn't work. Unfortunately, I bought two.
Yes, the patients can have delayed onset reactions to Bellafill with nodules or swelling months or years later. Unfortunately, since it is composed of PMMA particles, it is impossible to dissolve or remove without surgical excision. Hyaluronic acid fillers can cause delayed reactions as well, but we can remove them by dissolving with hylauronidase. We do most of our dissolving ultrasound guided. Ultrasound can show you exactly where the filler is, better than any other imaging studies.
Your face is beautiful!!! What is it that you want to improve? Honestly, I can't imagine much. I can possibly suggest Botox for maintenance, and maybe chin filler. Hard to tell without a profile photo. Take care,Dr. Stella
You definitely don't need a facelift! You may, however, benefit from buccal fat removal. Some fillers may be helpful as well. Dr. Stella
Hi, Maria, you look beautiful, but it is possible that you still have a bunch of leftover filler. It can be difficult to dissolve filler, especially if you had 10 ml. It can take many sessions and many vials of hyalase (hyaluronidase). We use ultrasound to see the deposits of old filler, and it makes it easier to dissolve it in a targeted fashion. Perhaps you can find somebody with an ultrasound to help you. Take care, Dr. Stella
I would recommend filler injections to contour your cheeks, chin, and jawline. It should improve your facial balance and structure. Your face is probably perfectly tight at 24 years old. Enjoy it while you can! Best of luck, Dr. Stella Stella Desyatnikova, M.D.
