Do silicone breast implants interfere with ECG findings?

Dear dr I was wondering is it possible that silicone breast implants give false ecg readings? Can the silicone interfere with the signal transmission from the heart to the electrodes of the ecg machine?

Every plastic surgeon has his/her own preop instructions.  I recommend stopping birth control prior to surgery but it's not a requirement because the surgery does not take very long if it's a straightforward augmentation.  I recommend discussing it with your plastic surgeon.
