Do silicone breast implants interfere with ECG findings?

Breast implants of any type, including silicone gel, should not have an impact on EKG results.  If you have abnormal results on an EKG, you should follow up with your physician immediately.

Hi plasticS96 and thank you for your question.  Silicone gel implants should not impact EKG readings so long as the EKG leads are properly placed.  With that said, any abnormal EKG result would warrant clinical follow up and additional testing to ensure the health of your heart.  I hope that you find this helpful.
