Raccoon eyes after rhinoplasty. Do you think it's permanent? What are my options to fix it? (Photo)

Mazzys,It is normal to have bruising under and around the eyes after surgery. In most cases it is not permanent, therefore I would not be worried about this. If you want tips to help it decrease more rapidly, I would recommend arnica cream and pills, avoiding teas and other blood thinners, and consuming things like pineapple. The short answer is be patient and not to worry.  In this circumstance you would expect steady improvement over the first 6-12 months with the likely return to your preoperative baseline at that time.  If you still have dark circles that are concerning your two best options are conservative filler treatment to the tear trough region to camoflauge and conceal the area vs a chemical peel treatment to lighten the effect.  Overall, though, I'd wait until at least the half year mark prior to deciding any further treatment.

You are still early post op so the discoloration should fade on its own or could be enhanced with depigmenting creams. If it persists then lasers would be helpful but an examination is neededDr Corbin
