Is it possible to use lip filler to make the distance between the nose and mouth look shorter? (Photo)

Fierce1745
My long upper lip bothers me. I don't want to do a lip lift, as I have seen that it leaves a scar. Would putting filler in my lips make that area seem shorter? The flesh over my lip is a bit fat, compared to the lip itself. Will that influence the outcome in a bad way? What type of filler (that is not permanent) lasts the longest? Thank you!
