In my practice, I advise patient to avoid alcohol for two weeks after rhinoplasty. We caution patients that during the first year, there may be some triggers that might increase redness and swelling. Alcohol is a common trigger. Spicy foods, exercise and temperature changes may also have a similar effect.
Hi @Intellectual887537. I recommend drinking in moderation 2.5 weeks after a rhinoplasty. Yes, you may experience increased swelling.Best of luck,Dr. Nima
Alcohol will not negatively affect your rhinoplasty results, but I recommend drinking in moderation!
The main theme here is "everything in moderation." After 2 1/2 weeks you should be OK to have a drink. However, if you over do it and lie flat all night, you might get some swelling. This swelling should go down, but after surgery you want to fully heal as quick as possible. So just be smart about it.
Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can understand from your question you should not smoke or drink alcohol for at least two months after the nose operation. It would be more convenient to decide with face-to-face consultation. Best regards!
It is unlikely that you would have a Bleeding problem from alcohol 2.5 weeks after rhinoplasty surgery. If you have a condition like rosacea where your nose may get swollen from alcohol, rhinoplasty surgery would not prevent this afterwards. Swelling from alcohol however would be short-lived and not permanent. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph
No, drinking alcohol 2 1/2 weeks after a rhinoplasty will not affect upon the results of your rhinoplasty procedure. Just keep it in moderation
Hello and thank you for your question. After rhinoplasty (nasal surgery), the nose can become REALLY swollen, and this swelling can take a LONG TIME to resolve (up to 1-2 years to fully resolve). Even though most of the swelling should resolve within the first 2-3 months after surgery- at 6...
Hello and thank you for your question. Just to clarify, if you're interested in improving your nasal tip, this is a common complaint and something that can definitely be addressed with surgery. Many people complain that their nasal tip is too "bulbous" or "boxy" and that they would like it to be...
Hello and thank you for your question! If your goals are for a slimmer nose, larger lips, and lifted cheeks, then a cosmetic rhinoplasty would be a good option, with lips and cheeks augmented with dermal fillers. Beauty is ultimately very subjective, and your definition of what it is might be...
Based on your facial x-ray that you posted, your nasal septum is slightly curved to your left, however, this is not severe and likely not an issue in so far as you're breathing. The X-ray appears to show enlargement of your inferior turbinates on both sides. This is more likely to cause...
It is definitely better to do both at the same time. Sometimes septal cartilage is used to help strengthen the tip or help with breathing. You need to wait two months to let the nasal fracture heal and for any swelling to go down, but then do it all together. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty...
From your photos, you appear to be a great candidate for rhinoplasty. The tip appears wide and round because of the rounded cartilages that make up the tip. A well performed rhinoplasty can straighten those cartilages so that the tip would be much more defined. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty...
