Hello,Generally all pain relievers are safe for headache after your treatment but we recommend that you avoid blood-thinners the week prior. Check with your injector to see what they advise. All the best!
You can take pain medications after your Botox treatments (or filler treatments) to help manage any discomfort or headaches. I would, however, avoid the use of aspirin or NSAIDS (e.g. Advil) for a week before any injections to minimize that change of bruising.
Having had Botox and getting a headache are more or less unrelated. Take anything that you normally would take for your headache--Botox will not affect any of that.
t bsNo worries. Although very rare, you can develop headaches after botox injections. As you know, botox can be used to treat some headaches. Two days after your injections it is safe to take motrin or aspirin (Goodys product) but you could also have taken Tylenol right afterwards. In the future, you may want to take Tylenol even before you get the Botox to prevent it from happening again. Good luck.
Hello TBS,After the injections you should be safe to take any pain reliever for a headache. Since there is aspirin in Goody powder it is important not to take it or any other blood thinner for 7 days before injection to minimize your risk of bruising unless required for other medical reasons. I hope this helps and good luck.
I had no clue, being from Chicago, what a Goody Powder was, so I googled it. Yes, you can take it for a headache after Botox.I get Botox myself, and have had a headache occasionally. I'm not sure if it's from the Botox but I take Tylenol. Even with a headache, I feel much better knowing that, in a few days, after the Botox kicks in, I'll be ever so much younger looking!!!
Hi t bs, I usually advise patients stop aspirin or NSAID's 7-10 days prior to botox injections. After injections you can start back on aspirin or NSAID containing products after about 24 hours.
Obviously you are from the South and yes you can take a goody powder for your headache. Mild headaches are not common after Botox but they do occur
What do you normally take for headaches? Its 2 days after treatment, it will not affect your Botox. You can also just take Tylenol.
Thanks for your question. The Answer is yes. Although Botox injections may generate little bruising, taking NSAID based medications should not worsen the bruising after 24 hrs of the injection. However, it is advisable to disclose to your injector that your are on NSAIDS prior to it. The bruising could be significant, and the beautification from the botox may be delayed by the dark bruises.Hope you feel better.
Thank you for your question. In short, no you cannot sweat out Botox nor can you "kill the Botox" effect. You have to wait about three months for the effects to wear off.All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL
In your photo you do not appear to be a candidate for eyelid surgery at this point--possibly in another decade or so. In the meantime, you may try Botox in the crow's feet to give the appearance of a wider eye, and to raise your brows and upper lids.
Hello Kate,There are some known interactions with Botox and several drugs that limits its effectiveness. However, you are noting shortness of breath. This is not a known reaction caused by a drug interaction. Furthermore, you should really only be getting Botox or Dysport....
