Redness on nose 3 months after filler (photo)

i have had my fillers in my nose since june. i have gotten fillers in my nose about 4 times before and never experienced this. My nose is STILL red at the tip from where it was injected in JUNE. i asked my plastic surgeon if it was some for of necrosis and he said no. then i looked it up online and it might be something like hyperemia or something. if it is, how do i get rid of it????

Blindness is an extremely rare risk, especially in an experienced injectors hands. Before injecting the filler, the injector can pull back on the syringe to ensure he or she is not in a blood vessel. Also, it is usually OK to inject in the middle of the bridge to build it up.

In my opinion, there is not a predictable non-surgical approach to lift the nasal tip. You appear to have a pleasing nasal appearance, however, if the droopiness of your nasal tip after your trauma 8 years ago is bothering you, Rhinoplasty surgery may be considered for repairing this. I hope...

Hi, fillers CAN correct asymmetry in the nose seen from the side and from the front. Fillers always add to the nose. A rhinoplasty procedure can add or take things away. Every person's nose is unique, and so are their needs.

As you suspect, repair of a hanging Columella cannot be performed non-surgically. Depending on your examination, rhinoplasty surgery may be considered for lifting of your hanging columella and for providing a less distracting nasal appearance. I hope this helps! Dr Joseph
