Hyeong Jun Kim, MD

I went to Dr. Kim at Nana in Gangnam-Gu for a chin implant and fat graft. I also got two rounds of Co2 laser and aqua peel to get rid of permanent marks and mole removal and acne scars I've had for years. Nana gave me the second round free of charge.

I did rhinoplasty revision and canthoplasty in 2020 with Dr Kim which I was really happy with since he did a very natural job and designed it well to customize to my face. (Which is why I would also highly recommend doing surgery with Dr. Kim if you are not even Korean since he knows exactly what to do for a variety of face types. The doctor I went to before Dr. Kim just seemed to copy and paste a nose that did not work for my face) All of the english speaking staff were very kind and accomondating to me and very fluent. Lily, Kylie, Iris, Jenna and Jenny were all very kind to me during the recovery process and responded to questions quickly. I am very happy with the chin implant, recovery time was actually pretty quick. I could chew again in 5 days and most of the swelling was gone in two weeks. The fat transfer design went well, Dr. Kim eyed it really well and injected fat into areas that needed it the most but my fat survival rate was not as high as I hoped after a month. But that is just my body, and I can come in for another round and fat transfers are very hard to predict. (As alot of fat transfers take more than 1 round.) And to be fair, I was not eat too much my first week and was on a liquid diet so that could possibly have caused the rate to be lower.

I cannot give a final review the co2 treatments because those take multiple sessions. My skin looks noticably brighter with less dark spots after two treatments but my scars and moles dont look too different. But once again it was only 2 treatments and typically 4-6 is needed. So I will finish them in the states or if I come back to Nana for second round of fat transfer.

Overall I am very happy with the experience and after care was great too. The staff was very friendly and I did not feel like i was being pushed in and out like it was a factory. There was several post op check ups, including oxygen chamber and facial treatments.

And also a few weeks later now Co2 laser and scar removal looks significantly better as well and the scars are less visible now. I will still want more than just only two co2 laser sessions but it looks great so far now as it has healed. So overall a very positive experience all around and I would highly recommend both Dr. Kim and Nana. 10/10

I also want to stress that Dr. Kim did a great job with the fat transfer design, my body just has a lower survival rate. And my facial volume still has a visibly noticable improvement and looks better. It is just that I need more than only one round which is completely normal for fat transfers. Your results could be much higher survival rate and only need one round.

A lot of the fat has grown back from its minimum level two months post op and the results look even better now. Overall all the procedures went very well and I would recommend Nana and their great staff and would go back again if I wanted more skin treatments or fat touch ups.

I’ve always wanted to do brow lift and zygoma surgery because it has been my biggest insecurity and I’m just so happy that I finally did it!! it’s definitely worth it and I love how everyone in Nana Hospital is accomodating! they even accompanied me to buy medicine for my fast recovery. My experience was great! I liked Dr. Kim, and even though we didn't speak the same language, he seemed like he really cared about the surgery results and how I felt about it. If you are looking to get jaw surgery, I recommend going to Dr. Kim to do your surgery.

I was searching for a doctor to do my (first) revision rhinoplasty while I was staying in Korea. For this I consulted with a few doctors but I immediately decided to go with Dr. Kim after my first consultation with him. During my consultation Dr. Kim was really attentive; he took time to listen closely to my concerns and in walking me through what he suggested being done to address my concerns. He even pointed out things 'wrong' with my nose (wrapping of my bridge) that another doctor did not notice and seemed uninterested in fixing when I also discussed addressing if I decided to go with him (this further concretized my decision of choosing Dr. Kim). I wanted my bridge a bit slimmer with a more defined and lower tip. I was wanted my alars taken in a bit more. I'm currently 7 weeks post and looking forward to the final results. I also had chin lipo and facial fat grafting (mostly of my under-eyes, temples, and forehead, and a bit on my chin and laugh lines).
