My nose tip has started dropping when I'm smiling. About 8 years ago I had an accident when I dropped a barbell on my face, splitting my top lip and requiring stitches Since then, the area between my nose and upper lip is stiff with scar tissue and I've noticed it pulls my nose tip down when I smile. Is there anything I can do to prevent this? I'd strongly prefer nonsurgical options, but understand if that's the only solution.

Answer: If you have severe dissatisfaction with your nasal appearance, visit a reputable rhinoplasty specialist.
Hi, fillers CAN correct asymmetry in the nose seen from the side and from the front. Fillers always add to the nose. A rhinoplasty procedure can add or take things away. Every person's nose is unique, and so are their needs.
In our experience, small indentations that can result in the nose after nasal trauma may be well suited for microdroplet Silikon-1000 injections. An examination would be necessary to determine your candidacy. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph
As you suspect, repair of a hanging Columella cannot be performed non-surgically. Depending on your examination, rhinoplasty surgery may be considered for lifting of your hanging columella and for providing a less distracting nasal appearance. I hope this helps! Dr Joseph
