I had my BA 1 week ago today and I'm still experiencing pain where the stitches are and drains went in. I also feel very tight across my chest to the point I feel I have to crouch my chest to feel comfortable standing up. I was a 32a and had 310cc implants over the muscle, I'm having my stitches out this coming Monday (10 days after BA) and I'm worried I may have not healed properly yet? Is this normal?
Answer: Pain after BA Most patients experience a moderate degree of pain for about two weeks or less. Talk to your surgeon because they may be able to prescribe medication to control the pain. The tightness is normal, since your skin will need to relax and expand as you recover. Make sure to express your concerns to your surgeon when you see them on Monday, but this is probably normal.

Answer: Pain one week after augmentation Everyone heals differently. There are surgeons who advertise a painless breast augmentation which is both inaccurate and leads to unrealistic expectations among the rest of the world. Pain and pain tolerance exists on a broad spectrum. Some women have what may be considered very painful surgery and feel minimal discomfort a week later. Some have what may be considered minimally painful surgery and feel a lot of discomfort for weeks or months. Know that your symptoms are likely to get dramatically and quickly better over the next few weeks.Best,Dr. Pyle

Answer: BBA It can be normal to still have some pain but having a lot of pain is not normal. If you have more pain than you would expect, then you should see your PS as soon as possible. It is odd that you had drains. Was it just a BA that you had?
