Hi I got a redo 10 days ago because mg implant Was too high (300 Hp under muscle). just after surgery the result was beautiful and at day 3 it started going up again. Is this normal ? will it drop or Ù the same problem hapeming again ? Could it be because they are ta large or high profile ?
Answer: Is it normal for implant to settle, then migrate upwards again? This could be normal healing for your body, although I am not aware of the reason for your breast revision. If your revision is because of capsular contracture, it is possible this is recurring, although unlikely this soon post-op. Usually, if the implant was sitting high after surgery and never settled, upon revision the pocket is scored and the implant then settles. I would share your concerns with your surgeon. Thank you.

Answer: Patience in Revision Augmentation An implant placed below the muscle will do exactly as you describe. It will sit beautifully in the pocket for the first 12 hours or so and then begin to ascend. Its descent then happens over the next 3 months and, during that time, it is not something you should worry too strongly about. Best,Dr. Pyle

Answer: Control of the implant is aided by the development of the pocket! You have an axillary incision. If an endoscope was used to aid the dissection then it is more precise. There are certain bands and or bras that control position while it heals. Please let your surgeon know. If you need a second opinion then Please find an experienced Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and member of the Aesthetic Society using the Smart Beauty Guide. These Plastic Surgeons can guide you on all aspects of facial surgery, breast augmentation and body procedures including tummy tucks or mommy makeovers!

Answer: BBA Did you have a capsular contracture? Is that why you needed the revision, or was the implant just too high because of the pocket? It would help if you posted an anterior after photo too. It is possible that the muscle is pushing the implant up and this may subside with time BUT I don't know enough about what you had done to know for sure. You should see your plastic surgeon to be examined in person. Discuss your concerns with your surgeon. All the best,
