It is not uncommon to see one side relax and soften faster than the other, as our chest muscles often have different tensions and strengths depending on several factors (hand dominance, workout routine, shoulder on which you carry your bags) and these can keep implants on one side higher for longer in the recovery period. If you are worried please contact your surgeon. With time, massage, and some muscle relaxant medication, they should both eventually settle to nearly the same symmetric result. If your left side is the side you carry your purse/handbag, I would suggest switching shoulders for now as well.

It typically takes 3 - 6 months for the swelling to subside and and implants to settle into proper position. Please discuss your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon. Also, make sure you follow all of your plastic surgeons post-operative instructions regarding level of physical activity and use of a support bra. Hope this helps and good luck with your recovery.

Patients that have breast augmentations have to realize that they are two identical - but separate operations and that you will heal and change at different rates.  Generally, by 1 and 3 months they are relatively similar.  You should follow up with your  surgeon who may decide to use a band or other device to help the higher rising implant to come down when necessary.

Yes, it is normal for one to drop faster than the other side. However, check with your plastic surgeon and be examined to be sure all is normal in your case. Breast band, muscles relaxants, and massaging can speed up the slower side. Talk to your surgeon.

It is very common for breast implants to drop at a different rate on either side.  However at 8 weeks I would expect the higher breast to be catching up.  It can take 3 months for final position.  However I would see her plastic surgeon and ask if you may begin to use a Bando
