I have been recommended 310cc hp mentor implants and my ps said we won't overfill them, but I've heard overfilling is good because it prevents rippling?

There's an acceptable limit to overfilling which your surgeon should be able to discuss with you. Too much overfill is not good either. Modern saline implants are designed to be filled in a proper range which will prevent rippling. Overfilling is something that used to be done in the 1990s which is no longer properly done as the current inflation range is designed to prevent rippling.
