This is NOT the tear trough area and I have been told that this area is not injected with fillers, but how else can it be fixed? I have hollows like in the photo below where I highlighted the area in red. The hollows cause bags and show the bone in certain lighting.
Answer: Under eye concerns The under eye area is often treated with fillers where volume has been lost. Often it is best to treat both the under eye and the cheek to give a more natural contour. An examination is needed to determine what would best address your concerns. I recommend visiting with an experienced injector to discuss your goals for treatment.

Answer: Fillers and Outer Eye Hollows Thank you for your question. Fillers in the tear troughs and perhaps in the temples may be able to help with the issue you are describing, but it is difficult to tell without examining you in person. My best advice would be to schedule a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon for an assessment and recommendations. Injections of fillers around the eyes are extremely delicate, and you want to ensure that you are in the hands of a doctor who is trained and experienced in this meticulous procedure and that the particular filler being used is not one that absorbs a great deal of water which may cause a more puffy appearance than desired.

Answer: Filler Injections Thank you for your question. You will need to be assessed to see what the problem is exactly. If you are asking about treatment of hollow temples, then yes, fillers can be injected into the temples. Treatment of the temples will improve the hollow look at the temples, lift the brows and improve the crows feet. Please see a doctor for further assessment before proceeding to treatment. Good luck.

Answer: Injectable fillers Yes it can be injected and I do treat this area routinely when I treat the tear trough. I don't know what this issue is but you may need to find an injector comfortable with this area.

Answer: Treatment for volume loss under the eyes Thank you for your question and for sharing your photograph engrll. I understand your concern. Fillers are used to restore lost volume in and enhance the appearance of the face.It is difficult to make an assessment without a formal exam in the office where I can view the skin in multiple angles. However, I hope the information provided here is useful. The tear trough area is commonly referred to as the area under the eye, specifically closer to the nose. It is also called the infraorbital hollow. This hollow can go all around this area from the medial part (closer to the nose) to the lateral part (closer to the ear). At birth there is a fat pad (actually multiple fat pads) in this area. Over time the fat pads get smaller and there are bony changes in the face. As a result hollowing is seen in this area.Fillers can be used to restore volume loss in such areas. The filler can be placed along the bone in the entire area. The specific area in which it is placed is individualized depending on the person. For example if a person has volume loss in the lateral area, product can be placed there to restore this volume loss.In this area I prefer to use a soft product such as Volbella. This does not lead to as much swelling as other products. Hyaluronic acid products are generally preferred because they can give outstanding results and are reversible. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
