Hypertension with mid-face filler and/or wrinkle relaxer?

The BP elevation you are exhibiting suggests that you may be developing labile hypertension which is the initial stage of the condition.  BP elevation during stressful  situations, being seen by a Dr (white coat syndrome) are early signs of hypertension. You should not have to stop cosmetic work because of your BP elevation.However you need to see your provider to be evaluated for hypertension.

Your response is not typical but also not unusual. All of your episodes were around some kind of event, which is easily trackable. Your tattoos are on your body, but when needles are used on the face, then anxiety gets increased for many if not most people.  I suspect you just have anxiety when it comes to your face but suggest you have ambulatory BP readings done few times a day over a few weeks. Thank you for your question. I would begin by recommending that you begin taking ambulatory BP readings on a frequent basis to see if you have some underlying hypertension. It would be good to take your BP in stressful situations and after exercise. The level of elevation in your BP that you reported is usually asymptomatic so I wonder if you might be having a vaso-vagal response with a drop in your heart rate. I have some patients who we have to inject in a supine position because they have a vaso-vagal response and either have a syncopal spell or near syncope. This is usually accompanied by a drop in BP but not always and by the time they took your BP it may have rebounded.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
