I would suspect that the person that "only does eyes" is an oculoplastic surgeon (eye doctor) as opposed to a plastic surgeon who performs many different types of facial surgery. Oculoplastic surgeons cannot perform facelifts whereas those trained in plastic surgery can perform both. Sometimes the advertising can be very confusing! A lip lift, done correctly, is a very specialized procedure. Do not minimize the importance of selecting a surgeon who performs that procedure often! Considering the ratio of the width of your mouth to the base of your nose can make it even more challenging. To truly get a lip lift done by an expert may require out of state travel. I would not consider it a routine procedure on its own or in addition to a facelift or eye surgery.

Thank you for your query. I often do all these procedures together as do many other surgeons. If you have, however, found a really good face-lift surgeon, you can have the other treatments done later ,by another surgeon who is good at the blepharoplasty and lip-lift procedures. The latter two procedures can even be done under local anesthesia . All the best!

Hi, Realrunner,The combination of procedures you mentioned I frequently perform at the same time in one operative session. The primary advantage to you is you don't have to have three separate recovery periods and hide away for 1-2 weeks on 3 separate occasions. There is also a cost savings on the OR and anesthesia fees when combining procedures. Performing the procedures concomitantly does not extend the recovery but you will be a bit more swollen in the treated areas for the first few days after surgery. It is most important that you find a surgeon you can trust and you feel listens to you and understands you concerns and desires. That being said, a blepharoplasty and lip lift are common procedures for surgeons that focus on facial rejuvenation. It is important when you interview a surgeon that the procedures you are seeking are their main focus and they are performing these procedures every week and not just occasionally.

I see your dilemma and my advice is to do what you're comfortable with, so if you really like the results of a certain surgeon you should go with them. However, what you should know is that there will be a waiting time between having your Facelift and Blepharoplasty and Lip Lift, as a lot of surgeons will want to wait for around 12 months before performing another operation on the skin.

One of the benefits of finding someone that can do all three at the same time is that you'll have one recovery rather than separate ones.

Hello, hope you are well. I strongly advise that you undergo your procedures together. It should not be difficult to find a board-certified facial plastic surgeon who does everything you mentioned. I do this routinely in my practice because it simplifies the surgical process and recovery, will make your life substantially easier, and very likely less costly. (Every time you undergo a procedure, it is not just a surgeon's fee, but also facility and anesthesia). Would you go to three restaurants to find an appetizer, main course and dessert, or the place that has everything on the menu that you want?
