360 lipo + BBL. Can I get breast augmentation 2 weeks later?

Question

Im scheduled to have 360 Lipo w/ arms and BBL. If everything goes well can I have breast augmentation two weeks later? But because I will be on anabiotic’s is it safe? Is anesthesia a factor I should be considering? BBL surgeon recommends two months. Breast aug surgeon says it's a different area of body she's working on and stated it’s ok. Reason Im not getting all done at once is due to I like two separate physicians for their specialties. I don't want to take more time off.

Hello and thank you for your question. The timing of major surgeries is a complex topic and the answer may vary from surgeon to surgeon. If you are having an existing surgical site operated on, most surgeons would advise to wait multiple months (3-6 plus) to allow the first surgical site to fully heal, settle and start to mature. If you are having an totally separate body part operated on, in our practice we commonly advise patients to wait at least 4 weeks between major surgeries, mainly due to the increased risk of a blood clot (DVT/PE) due to the physiologic changes that happen during prolonged general anesthesia as calculated by the Caprini Risk Score. Ultimately there is no one correct answer and there are other aspects of your personal and medical history that need to be taken in to account to have a full picture of the risk stratification for your case.

After bbl surgery recovery takes at least two months. After breast augmentation surgery you can only lie down on your back, in this case the pressure will compromised fat grafting on your buttocks. So you should wait

360 Lipo with arms and a BBL is going to require 6 weeks of healing. You also want to avoid pressure on the buttock for that amount of time to allow the maximum fat to stay. If you get the surgery too soon, it may be hard to find a good position to sleep in. I would recommend 6-8 weeks depending on how the healing process goes for the first surgery. No need to rush into a possible complication.

every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. Most would recommend you wait until you are fully healed prior to another procedure. I would suggest you discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

Technically, the second surgery can be done two weeks later, but it would be best to wait least one month so that all incisions were dry and closed and decrease your chance of infection.

Thank you for your question. Generally we do not recommend the two procedures so close to together. If you have your BBL first- most recommendations include sleeping on your stomach for the first 4-6 weeks. This can cause additional pressure on a new breast augmentation causing displacement of the implants, wound healing issues and poor cosmetic results. It is best to stage the procedures 8-12 weeks apart.

You all are missing the major issue !!! Your blood count will most likely be dropped to below acceptable surgery levels or you will have postop anemia!
I would recommend waiting 1 month between surgeries for  your safety
