Hi there, I've recently scheduled my breast augmentation procedure for April 12th. I love my doctor and trust his knowledge very much but wanted some additional insight. Im currently a 32B/34B and my goal is a full C. He recommended 250-275cc for my implants. Motiva soft touch gummy round. I'm wondering if 300cc would be too much for my body frame/type. I'm 5ft5 and about 128 pounds. I will also ask at my preop but as you can imagine my mind is overthinking. Very excited for my procedure!
Answer: Breast implant selection I request all of my patients bring 5-10 goal/wish photos to their planning appointments and on the day of surgery. When selecting wish photos, be sure to choose women with similar starting breast size, shape, and proportion to your body to ensure accurate comparisons and a similar starting point. I have my patients choose their top two favorite results and have those photos on display in the OR with their personal preop photos. This helps me choose the correct implant because I can compare the effect of the implant sizers (test implants that are placed in the patient's body before opening the final permanent implant) on the patient's breast size and shape, compare it to the goal photo, and ensure that the patient wakes up with exactly what they wanted. The exact implant size is not important. The result is what matters.

Answer: Choosing the right size and profile breast implants for you After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants, and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author. Answer: Breast Augmentation I believe that this is a good recommendation based on the photos. The ideal recommendations are from specific tissue based planning that would only be determined by doing a physical exam.

Answer: Size Your surgeon who has examined and measured you can tell you what range of sizes would be best for your frame and tissue. Just based on photos only, the 300 cc size would probably be fine. I prefer the smooth round implants which are soft and natural feeling and not the gummy implants since they are firm.

Answer: Can't ever guarantee a cup size Dear Moyacaitlin7, That sounds like a very reasonable size but IMO it's more important that you pick an implant by dimensions that fit your dimensions. The implant width should be as close to your breast's base width to give you the prettiest cleavage. Too narrow of an implant will give you more gap and too wide will give you "arm boob". Cup sizes are not standard in bras, so you can't really go by that. ** my opinion is in no way a replacement for the advice of your surgeon.
