Based upon the pictures submitted, I would recommend a tummy tuck with liposuction of the sides and back.
Thank you for your question and photos. You appear to be an excellent candidate for a full tummy tuck. The abdominal skin excision could give you an excellent contour as well as improve the tone of the anterior abdominal wall. Liposuction could be performed to improve the contour of your flanks and hips at the time of tummy tuck surgery. Please see a board certified plastic surgeon for an in-person examination to discuss the specific details of the procedures. Ask to see before and after photos to get an idea of what can be achieved. Hope this helps!
Hello,Congrats on your weight loss. You could have a tummy tuck. It looks like you likely have enough skin to remove. However, if you plan to lose more than 20 more pounds, I would recommend doing that before a tummy tuck since you will get more dramatic results. A fleur-de-lis may be the best option for you, but the only way to truly tell is through a physical exam. So getting a consult with a surgeon near you will be the next best step and he/she can help guide your decision. All the best!Dr. BlaggAustin, TX
Yes! You will certainly have improvement with a Fleur-de-Lis(FDL) abdominoplasty as well as with a lower body lift (FDL). The FDL will address both the vertical and horizontal laxity you have giving you a much improved shape and contour. By going all the way around your body with the lower body lift further improves your overall shape and contour. My only concern for you would be is determining your weight status. If your weight is stable and you are at your goal weight then you maybe ready to proceed forward with surgery. If you are planning on losing more weight then I would recommend waiting until you are stable. I would certainly contact a plastic surgeon and learn about your options in person and learn about what is involved in each of these procedures.
I perform a LOT of body contouring for weight loss patients and based on your photos, a standard tummy tuck would be a disservice to you. The Fleur-de-Lis is the only way to get you a waistline if combined with aggressive flank liposuction. As mentioned previously, a LBL is clearly an option, but you could have both done at the same time. Please see a plastic surgeon who has experience with these cases.Good Luck!
You will have several options including a fleur de lis style tummy tuck and a lower body lift. The FDL TT is a lower risk surgery and will give you a dramatic improvement. See an experienced plastic surgeon for best results. Warmest regards, Dr. Guerra
Thank you for your question. Based on the picture TT with flour de les will give better result. LBL with FDL is another good option. Please consult with a board certified PS for evaluation.
If you are healthy and at a safe weight, you can have the combination performed by an expert at both procedures who can hold anesthesia time to about 4 hours. BMI is not the only factor.
Waist trainers can be helpful but can also cause soft tissue damage when used prematurely or inappropriately. I have seen linear contour irregularities when used too soon while the fat layer is still healing and remodeling. I would recommend being fitted by a garment...
To answer your question, the possibility of lowering your scar would ultimately depend on the excess skin available to excise. If there is adequate skin for excision, it is possible to lower the scar to a more cosmetically pleasing position. I recommend consulting with your surgeon regarding...
