How long should I wait after having COVID-19 to undergo 360 liposuction?

How long should I wait after having COVID-19 to undergo 360 Liposuction with local anesthesia? It has been 2 weeks after my isolation release but I still have a lingering cough and occasional shortness of breath.

Dear miylahk,
you should fully recover prior to elective procedure. Every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

You will want to be completely healed from COVID and feeling healthy before proceeding with your liposuction procedure.  I encourage you to speak with your surgeon as opinions and protocols may vary.

Covid can lead to ongoing chronic symptoms. You should first and foremost talk to your plastic surgeon and ask him or her. If you haven’t chosen a plastic surgeon then you should schedule a series of Inperson consultations. If you were my patient I would ask your primary care doctor to clear you before surgery to make sure your lingering symptoms would not be an issue. Most likely if you still have a cough and shortness of breath you’re not ready to have general anesthesia yet.
