I always had such a pretty flat tummy so this is pretty devastating. I'm 8 months postpartum and am looking terrible, tons of stretch marks and a mommy tummy. I'm planning to have breast fat transfer & Jplasma for skin tightening (lipo to abdomen and flanks). Do you think this will improve my abdomen? Such a huge insecurity of mine. Not wanting to do a tummy tuck...

Hello @LenLove Thak you for your question! From my experience of 20 years and what I can see in the picture you could have a mini tummy tuck with best results, because the muscles are already a little distended and the Lipo and J plasma won't fix that.A mini tummy tuck is a minimally invasive alternative to standard abdominoplasty, which involves removing excess skin and fat from the upper abdomen and it can remove some of the stretch marks.A person with good physical condition who has a flaccid abdominal skin with minimal excess and little or no distension of the abdominal muscles may be a candidate for this procedure.The good thing is that the scar is really low and small.Best wishes!

You have excess, particularly around the umbilicus and below. You would benefit from a mini tummy tuck. A transverse incision is made and a small amount of excess skin is removed. Also, the umbilicus is revised with an umbilicoplasty.

Your plan will not address muscle wall laxity and therefore infraumbilical protrusion. It will likely be a good second best to a tummy tuck though.

For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction, which can be performed at the same time as a tummy tuck, depending on skin laxity. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF/J Plasma/Renuvion/InMode BodyTite and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would benefit from liposcution. However, there is a risk that you will have some loose skin on your abdomen. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

You will see some improvement from liposuction.  You can consider adding BodyTite which uses RF technology to tighten skin up to 40%.  Neither will take away the stretch marks or address abdominal wall laxity.  A tummy tuck is needed for that.  I encourage you to go on a few consultations with board certified plastic surgeons.  Discuss your concerns and goals for surgery and ensure that you understand what you can expect in terms of results.

Liposuction and j plasma can help remove the fat and tighten some skin, but it will not give you the same flat tight look that a tummy tuck will have. You have a significant amount of stretched skin which is more than j plasma can handle alone. In a nutshell, you will have improvement with liposuction and j plasma, but it will not give you the same tight result as a true tummy tuck. Hope this helps!

Thank you for the question and photos but an examination is really needed. That said, if you have ruled out an abdominoplasty, then liposuction and J plasma or RFAL may be you best option though more tightening is possible with an abdominoplasty

Pregnancies do not cause a change in fat distribution. Pregnancy related changes are really only skin laxity and muscle separation called diastasis recti.  Liposuction if done well I can give some improvements but I have low faith in J plasma aka Renuvion delivering anything but increased pain and a big price tag.  I purchased a device when it first came out and used it for a year. I personally literally saw zero skin tightening and the only thing that was different was my patients had worse recoveries.

Breast fat transfer can deliver 1/2 to one cup increase in breast size but does not change the breast shape at all.

It’s always a good idea to have a few different consultations before committing to a procedure they will permanently change your body.

Personally I recommend patients scheduled for five consultations before choosing a plastic surgeon.

Liposuction and fat transfer results vary more than any other procedure.
