The amount of botox given to you e. g. for crows feet is within the normal dose range (10-15 units) for the area. The amount of botox given will vary from person to person. The reason: The amount of muscle that is present is different from person to person - more muscle requires more botox. I would recommend to book a consultation with a plastic surgeon. Hope this helps.
Thank you for sharing your question about Botox. The units required to effectively treat the crow’s feet vary from person to person and largely depend on the severity of the lines around the eyes. On average, I inject 8-10 units of Botox at 3 injection points around each eye. Some patients need more or less depending on their specific anatomy. In general, I recommend treating the crow’s feet in tandem with the glabella and forehead for a more complete reduction of fine lines. For more information about Botox, please schedule a consultation with a board-certified specialist who is experienced with Botox injections.
Typically 9-12 units of Botox are used given from 3 injection points, per side, to improve the appearance of crow's feet.
For the typical crows feet treatment I use 20 units. If patients are more concerned about the fine lines of the lower eyelid I will do a much lower dose, say 6 - 8 units directly on the lower eyelid only. It really depends on the patient and the area of concern.
Thanks for your question. It really depends where around the eye you are referring to. In general any given area should start with about 20 units. Many nervous patients wish to start with less, but if you do not give a correct dose you will not see a difference and think the product has failed. while too much is no good , too little will just waste your time. I recommend you see the practice of a board certified PS. Beware of fantastic botox deals. You will want to know how your botox is diluted and how many units you are getting.Best wishes.
Thank you for your question. On average ,we use 20-25 units of Botox around the eyes( "Crow's feet") to achieve full natural effect for 3-4 months. You might require more but I would start with 20 units( 10 units per side) and evaluate results in 2 weeks. If you need some touch ups , than your provider can ALWAYS add more.
Thank you for your question. The average number of units used for improving crow's feet is often 12-24 units. It does depend on individual anatomy. I hope this helps. Best wishes.
Assuming you are referring to peri-orbital lines on the sides of the eyes, otherwise known as Crow's feet, I typically recommend a total of 20-24 units between both sides (10-12 on each side) for maximum improvement. You may be able to get away with less but may want to come back for more once you can evaluate the results 3-7 days following treatment.
The amount of Botox needed to treat an area can vary by individual. I would say in most cases, about 20-25 units of Botox would be used to treat the area around the eyes. There are some instances when less may be used however.
Thankyou for your question. Typically a patient wanting to smooth the crow’s feetarea would require between 10-15 units per side. This is an average dose anddepends on the patients muscles in the area as well as the results they arelooking for. I recommend having a consultation with an expert injector todetermine the best treatment plan for you. Best of Luck!
Typically a starting dose of 15-20 units is used on each side and injected directly into the masseter muscle. Care must be taken to respect anatomic landmarks to avoid unwanted injection into muscles of facial expression (i.e. zygomaticus major and depressor anguli iris) that will have an...
Yes, it can, but if it is injected properly these risks are minimal. To minimize risks further I recommend my patients avoid strenuous exercises and applying pressure to the region for at least 1-2 days following the procedure.
How long Botox lasts depends on how much of the substance is injected. It would be helpful to know the exact amount of units you were injected with, but again the results vary from patient to patient and also depends on the strength of the muscle. As you stated you were injected with a...
Thank you for your question. Botox cosmetic is not known to cause dehydration. Best to seek care from your primary care physician to discuss. Best of luck.
Botox results can last 3-4 months in new areas of treatment and will dissolve slowly over that time. It may be that a touch up of Botox is needed to get the results you want. Cost will vary and it's difficult to speak to pricing without knowing the extent of filler used. See an expert. Best, Dr....
A mild atrophy can occur in the very muscles that are treated after years of Botox or other Neuromodulator. Usually that would require 5 to 10 years of continuous, without breaks, relaxation of the treated muscles can cause atrophy. If atrophy occurs, which only occurs in a minority of...
