Botox results can last 3-4 months in new areas of treatment and will dissolve slowly over that time. It may be that a touch up of Botox is needed to get the results you want. Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  I can understand how this can be frustrating for patients to have their effects wear off sooner than anticipated with Botox.   What one has to remember as a patient receiving treatment for the first time is that it is often better to start small and incrementally add to the doses of Botox based on a patient's sensitivity and duration of response.  If your results were acceptable for 6 weeks you know that Botox works well for you, but in order to get a longer duration you will likely need additional units/injection to maintain them.  Determing the correct dosing and injection pattern takes time and serial treatments with your injector so hang in there!

Thank you for your question. Botox lasts 3-4 months in most patients. However, the longevity is depends on the dose. Therefore, a lower dose may have resulted in a shorter lasting results. It is difficult to comment on the fillers as I would need to know where the filler was placed and how much was used. You may just require a small touch up of Botox. I recommend following up with your injector to discuss any concerns you may have. Best of Luck!

Thanks for your question and photos – we always recommend that you have these injections in the offices of board certified dermatologists or plastic surgeons as we are the experts in these types of treatments.  First, the cost of Botox will vary depending upon where you live, who injects it, and therefore it is hard to say if you over paid or not.  Kentucky prices, like Nashville prices, should be less that NYC or LA prices – for the most part.  Second, if the Botox was not injected correctly, it’s longevity may not be as long as we might like, and we know that in most cases, Botox lasts between 3-4 months.  You had a touch-up and you may not have had enough of a touch-up so I would recommend that you go back to your provider and see what can be done or find a new expert injector in the area.

Thanks for your question.  It sounds like your injector did have concern for side effects and went cautiously with you.  I would see that person again with your concerns as a second injection can be done over the first.  It is obvious a small amount did not cause a problem.  I do corrections for no additional charge if within a few weeks of the initial injection.  Those doses are added to my chart and the cummlative dose is given at the the next official visit in 3-4 months.  Most of the patients are getting the 3-4 months duration after that.  Hope this helps

With appropriate dosing, you should see Botox last at least 3-4 months.  Lesser amounts can result in shorter duration of effect, although 6 weeks does seem especially short.
If you are going to a reputable clinic or physician, it is important to communicate your concerns with them quickly.
