Answer: Can I Increase the bridge of my nose by using tissue layer? You are correct that it is possible to raise the bridge of your nose with your own tissue called fascia. Fascia is connective tissue layer that lines muscles, and the most common location to obtain this for a rhinoplasty would from inside your scalp in the temple region where the scar will be totally hidden under your hair. The fascia will add soft tissue thickness where it is placed. To increase your bridge a large amount, putting diced cartilage inside of a fascia wrap would be best; the cartilage would be obtained from the rib or ear if your septal cartilage has already been used in a primary rhinoplasty. If your bridge only needs to raised slightly or to conceal the appearance of cartilage grafts under thin skin, a fascia graft only can be used without cartilage. For a very mild nonsurgical refinement of the bridge after rhinoplasty, you could consider long-lasting filler. Ziyad Hammoudeh, MD

Answer: Nasal augmentation Most commonly grafts from the septum, ear, or rib are used for dorsal augmentation. SOmetimes fascia is used to wrap around diced cartilage grafts, or used for some camouflage of thin tissues.
