Sadly, this isn't something that any of us can diagnose online. It could be any number of things such as a stretched nerve. Schedule an appointment to see your surgeon in person so that he or she can assess the situation. Sorry that you are in pain -- Dr. Nazarian

It seems that your implants are very tight in your body and that is causing areas of pain where the nerves are on stretch.  I would massage the implants and keep them supported.  Return to your surgeon to make sure there are no other issues of concern.  Best Wishes!!

Significant pain three months after breast augmentation is unusual. The presence of redness raises the possibility of an infection. This should be reported to your surgeon.

Things can still be healing and changing months after your surgery. Hang in there! As long as the shape and feel are improving week to week, however slowly, there is still hope for the final outcome. Ask you plastic surgeon if there are any compression garments, stretches or massaging exercises that can help speed your recovery.

Thank you for your question and photographs.  At three months most of your pain from surgery should have fully resolved.  If your pain symptoms have not been improving stadily since surgery, best to have this evaluated by your surgeon to determine the cause of the pain and any needed treatment.

It is very common to have discomfort along the sternum after breast augmentation related to the muscle. It can take up to 6 months for this to settle out whether it is related to the muscle or the nerve. The blotchy appearance from the picture does not appear to be an infection. It looks more like a rash. However, you should follow up with your plastic surgeon to be examined in person. He or she may recommend an imaging study or a course of antibiotics. Thank you for your question.  Pain near the sternum, left shoulder and when you sneeze makes me think this pain is muscle or nerve related.  The blotchy area looks like some type of rash.  Something is definitely irritating the nerves around the pocket: infection could be the problem, but I would expect you to show more symptoms.  If you didn't have the blotchy area I would chalk it up to nerve regeneration.  It is not unusual to have more pain in one breast than the other.  You need to have your plastic surgeon evaluate you and perhaps get some labs and/or an ultrasound.Best of Luck.
