I had a breast augmentation done and I was told that its possible the pocket for the implant was made too big causing it to fall out of place. Can this happen? Can it be corrected?

Answer: Oversized breast pocket Thank you for sharing. Oversized breast pockets can occur. Fortunately there are options. It can be stitched closed after the capsule is properly treated or a sling of dermal matrix skin can be used to close off the volume. The treatment depends on the patient's breast exam and needs. See an experienced plastic surgeon who can show you examples of both. Best wishes

Answer: Implant maosition A fairly common complication of breast augmentation surgery is implant malposition, either too high or too low, or even too big laterally or medially. A pocket that is too big can be the reason for an implant riding too low. These conditions are fixable, ask your surgeon about it or seek a second opinion from a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
