Am I a candidate for vaser liposuction? I am hoping to avoid the dreaded scar from a traditional arm lift. Any suggestions/guidance would be appreciated. Note: (45 yo, 5’5, 145 lbs)
Answer: Vaserlipo vs. Armlift Hi Kiki03, Vaser liposuction is a type of liposuction that uses ultrasound technology to break down and remove fat from specific areas of the body. It is less invasive than traditional arm lift surgery, which involves making incisions and removing excess skin and fat from the upper arm area. Vaser liposuction typically results in less scarring and a shorter recovery time than traditional arm lift surgery. To determine if you are a good candidate for Vaser liposuction, you should consult with an qualified plastic surgeon. They will evaluate your medical history, current health status, and body type to determine if Vaser liposuction is an appropriate procedure for you. It's also important to note that while Vaser liposuction can help remove excess fat, it may not be the best option if you have significant excess skin on your arms. In such cases, traditional arm lift surgery may be more effective. Ultimately, the best way to determine if Vaser liposuction or traditional arm lift surgery is right for you is to schedule a consultation with an qualified plastic surgeon. They can evaluate your individual needs and recommend the best course of treatment. Sincerely,Dr. Mark Tseng

Answer: Liposuction would be better Body lift will leave major scar horizontally which will remain visible. From my point of view, your condition can be improved with liposuction along with wearing compression garment. Of course arm lift may give you more dramatic change than liposuction but your condition isn't so severe, so arm lift isn't the only option.

Answer: Arm VASER LIPO Based on your photos, You are a good candidate for VASER LIPO of the arms. The Gold Standard for superior liposuction results requires use of the advanced technology of ultrasound-assisted VASER liposuction. As an official trainer of VASER liposuction, I perform full body liposuction cases every week. VASER liposuction has been the only modality that has consistently resulted in outstanding liposuction outcomes. VASER liposuction ensures a smooth contour regardless of degree of excess fat by virtue of being able to remove any and all remaining fat comprehensively and uniformly. If skin redundancy is observed, Renuvion technology can be simultaneously applied to tighten your skin to optimize your overall contour outcome. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a VASER specialist will help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee

Answer: Arm Liposuction Most patients find the scar of an arm lift unacceptable and that procedure is typically restricted or limited to patients who had a massive weight loss and had skin laxity bad enough to justify the scar. Arm liposuction can reduce the size the VR substantially but will not address skin laxicity to any major extent. This means if you judge the results with your arm out like in your second picture you’ll still see the skin laxity. However with your arm and down position the size of your arm will be potentially reduced substantially. The great majority of Time is spent with our arms in a dumb position and this is how the world sees you most of the time. As long as you recognize that Liposuction is not a skin treatment you can benefit from having quality liposuction which on arms can potentially get great results. That said, delivering consistent quality Liposuction result is more difficult than most people believe and farm Liposuction can we technically challenging for providers Who lack skill in experience. Personally I do circumferencial liposuction of the arm and typically blend into the forearm. Defined the most talented and experienced plastic surgeon for arm liposuction in your community I suggest you schedule multiple in person consultations. during consultations ask each provider to show their entire collection of before and after pictures of arm liposuction results. An experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you a minimum 30 quality before and after pictures. Highly experienced providers will have hundreds of before and after pictures for this procedure. ask the provider to show you as many before and after pictures of patients with similar body characteristics to your own as possible. Personally I do all Liposuction work with patients a week using local anesthesia with mild sedation. Keeping the patients awake allows me to move the patient in different positions which gives me better access to contouring all areas. The form of anesthesia is not as important as the overall level of skill and experience. Simply being board-certified with an overall good reputation is insufficient to confirm that a provider has the skills needed to deliver consistent quality liposuction results of the arm. Continue having consultations until you feel you found the most talented an experienced provider. Edge lowers patients candidacy for Liposuction results in this needs to be taken into consideration for individuals especially those who are over the age of 50. Age lowers patients candidacy for Liposuction results in this needs to be taken into consideration for individuals especially those who are over the age of 50. With age we loose skin elasticity and this creates a skin laxity which lessens potential results and with a loss of skin elasticity removing fat aggressively can potentially lead the skin compromise. Answer: Brachioplasty vs arm lipo Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photos, I note minimal-moderate fatty excess with overlying healthy skin of the upper arms. A liposuction procedure of the upper arms removes fat only, while a brachioplasty removes excess skin and underlying fat. If there is a significant amount of fat present, if the skin demonstrates no evidence of overstretching (stretch marks), and if the sag is only minimal to moderate, a liposuction may correct the deformity. On the other hand, if there is stretched out skin, only a brachioplasty can achieve correction. However, one must accept a scar from armpit to elbow. The scar is placed on the inside (medial side) of the arm to minimize exposure, but the scar is readily apparent in certain positions. The mini-arm lift is not of much benefit. It appears that you would benefit from a liposuction procedure. Seek a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. Best wishes...
