I had breast reduction approx 18 years ago and a breast lift with implant 9 years ago. I have had a dramatic weight loss since then and am struggling with upper abdominal “pouch.” I've tried coolsculpt, emsculpt etc. When I hold my breasts up, the pouch disappears. I'm convinced it's skin laxity-but am wondering if it can be fixed with another lift or a reverse tummy tuck?
Answer: Upper abdominal “pouch Dear Enoapir, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Considering options An in person evaluation is best, but it appears you would have the best outcome from a tummy tuck. This would address the excess skin as well as correct any abdominal wall laxity. A breast lift will not address the excess skin on your upper abdomen. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Answer: Reverse tummy tuck or explant with Bellesoma Method The reverse tummy tuck would be effective but it does leave a scar across the external region. It may be very visible. Another alternative to consider is explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained if not injured during your previous surgery. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Reverse tummy tuck for loose upper abdominal skin A reverse tummy tuck is an option for loose upper abdominal skin especially when there is already a scar at the inframammary fold. One thing to be aware of is that the scar will go across the midline where it can be visible. It appears that you would benefit from re-doing the breast lift at the same time and possible adding an internal bra with Galaflex for support.
