Different process for 2nd Liposuction after 22 years - will this be an issue?

Hello questionqueen76, as per your description you have abnormal appearing fat deposits. Only liposuction can help you. Yes it can be slightly difficult for your surgeon if its second liposuction but not impossible. In our experience a VASER liposuction is beneficial in second surgeries. Weight gain after liposuction, may go to the same area as the initial surgery or elsewhere on the body.
Liposuction can be performed again if excess fat and good skin quality. There may be scar tissue and at times VASER and other devices may help with fat removal.

After 22 years, all the inflammation should be resolved. However, I have gone back and liposucted areas that had primary liposuction and there is more scar tissue and more difficult. It is doable though.

Typically secondary Liposuction results deliver less than the primary procedure. Liposuction results are permanent and irreversible.

If removing fat via Liposuction didn’t get it right the first time then it’s unlikely to make a significant improvement 20 years later. With age comes a loss of skin elasticities creating skin laxity which contributes more to contour than people believe.

Without seeing pictures we can’t begin to make an assessment so you may very well be a candidate for Liposuction but generally speaking treating the same area twice gives less results than doing it the first time.

Typically I treat the torso as a single anatommic unit and need to treat the entire torso or don’t treat the torso at all. Spot treating like doing only the love handles or just lower abdomen leaves people within unnatural fat distribution. The best analogy is painting part of a house.

I typically either treat the entire torso or I don’t treat it. A full torso includes upper abdomen, lower abdomen, love handles, waist, full back and under arms.

Delivering consistent quality in Liposuction results is more difficult than most people believe.

Seeing a hand Full of select pictures which in reality represent the best results of that providers career is insufficient to have a clear understanding I would average results look like in the hands of that provider.
