Hi, thank you for sharing your question. While a tummy tuck would be a better plan for you, you can certainly have liposuction if you want to avoid the TT scar. This will leave you with excess skin. The amount of skin excess will depend on your body’s ability I contract that skin. I hope this helps.
Hi.Looking at your pic you have lot of saggy skin.So only liposuction will not help and you will not be happy with final results as saggy skin will increase further. .In my opinion liposuction with tummy tuck will give you best results and good shape.Best is to consult board certified plastic surgeon. Thanks for posting your query.Wishing a heathy life.
Liposuction will result in more hanging skin and will be unsuccessful. You would benefit from a tummy tuck.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
From your photo it appears you are a better candidate for a tummy tuck. If you proceed with liposuction alone you will have less fat, but likely have more loose skin. I encourage you to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more about both procedures. I've included a video that I hope you find helpful.
Liposuction is an option, the problem is the lipo just remove the fat tissue, if the skin has good quality it will retract, if the skin has no good quality the skin will remain saggy with a little or minimal retraction even using the best technologies like radiofrequency or plasma. The benefit of liposuction are the small incisions. If you are agree to have improvement (not perfection) but some remaining loose skin a lipo is an option.
Dear aliuskaaaa,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would have a lot of loose skin after liposuction. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hi! Based on your photo it seems that only liposuction may lead to a lot of loose skin. Would suggest an in-person consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon to know your options. Best wishes.
Hello dear, according to your photos you have a lot of loose skin, if you only do liposuction without tummy tuck , you will have even more loose skin due to fat loss and it will not look good, We recommend a tummy tuck for you to have the best results.
There are three reasons why patients seek plastic surgery for the abdominal area. 1. Skin laxity or loose skin, 2. Bulging of the abdominal wall (generally after pregnancy or weight loss and 3. Redundant fatty tissue. When all 3 contour problems are present, a tummy tuck is generally recommended for the best result. Liposuction only addresses the redundant fatty tissue and should NOT be considered a skin tightening procedure. In fact, liposuction usually creates more loose skin. For patients that are not ideal candidates, (BMI greater than 30), I often will perform large volume liposuction first in order to help motivate patients to lose additional weight and strengthen their core prior to having a tummy tuck in 3 to 6 months. Many are content with the result from liposuction alone, and elect not to have the abdominal bulge tightened nor the loose skin removed. Like other aspects of life, our tolerance determines the quality of the result.
