Hello, I am potentially interested in rhinoplasty. The problem is a really like my frontal profile. I personally think my nose is over projected (side profile). Do you think it's worth fixing?
Answer: Correction of an overprojected nose is well worth the operation. Thank you for your question. Correction of an overprojected nose is well worth the operation.Through shortening of medial crura of nasal tip cartilage and realingnment of the nasal tip cartilage (alar cartilage), you can get very good results and have a much more beautiful nose tip. Also bulbousness of the tip can be improved. If you are interested in visible nostril(retracted alar rim), it can be also corrected by alar rim cartilage graft.

Answer: Rhinoplasty: here's what you should know Thank you for your question and uploaded photos. It is possible to undergo rhinoplasty to reduce an over-projected nose profile while keeping the tip and front view intact. This procedure is meant to be customized for each individual to provide results that complement the rest of the facial features. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who will examine your nasal tissue, bone, and cartilage while listening to your aesthetic goals.

Answer: Rhinoplasty to make nose shorter... From your photos, you are a great candidate for rhinoplasty. The nose can be made shorter so it doesn't overproject so much, while keeping the tip shape very similar to what you have from the front. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty specialist for consultation.

Answer: Like my fromtal view but side view over projecting: worth fixing? Many surgeons consider changing tip projection to be somewhat difficult and hard to control, but with the appropriate technique it is highly reliable and gives a more proportional and very natural appearance. It is a common reason in my practice for performing revision rhinoplasty or for that matter primary rhinoplasty. I agree that you nose is over projecting and you would benefit from a revision.

Answer: Over projected nose. Do you think it's worth fixing? No one ever "needs" a rhinoplasty. It is an elective procedure and only you can determine if your nasal features concern you enough to do something about improving the cosmetic appearance of your nose and whether it would be worthwhile with an artistically performed natural appearing rhinoplasty. Following the advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you exactly what to do based on limited photos without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of the operative procedure would not be in your best interest. I would suggest you find a plastic surgeon with extensive nasal surgery experience who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) or a facial plastic surgeon (otolaryngologist) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Additional information about the procedure will help you decide if it is a procedure that you want to pursue.
