had lbl+thigh lift+Lipo a little over 3weeks ago. From the start One of my upper thigh is fatter then the other and it really bothers me and it’s all I see. the same leg has a lump in upper back thigh that drives me crazy. In addition to that my outer thighs have different shapes and I hate it, on skinnier leg it goes down diagonally from my hip while on the fatter leg it looks like it should. Can it be fixed? I have another surgery in 5 months, will my doctor agree to fix it at the same time?
Answer: Asymmetrical Thighs Post Surgery Hello, Thank you for your question regarding if your thighs can be fixed after a prior thigh lift. The short answer is “yes”. However, I would certainly wait until your next surgery in 5 months. That should give your body enough time to heal. The surgical solution may be more thigh liposuction and/or further excision of excess, redundant thigh skin and fat. At this time, it is way too early to make any accurate decisions regarding your thigh lift revisions or even if you will need a revision. At minimum, it takes about 6 to 8 weeks to heal from a thigh lift. In regards to your possible revision, it is very important that mention your concerns early to your plastic surgeon. Thank you for your question regarding if your thighs can be fixed after a prior thigh lift. If you have any more questions regarding a medial thigh lift, medial thigh lift revision, thigh liposuction, thigh shaping or plastic surgery in general, please contact my office. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen(Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and member of the American Society Plastic Surgeons, International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and Fellow of American College of Surgeons and American Board for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, Awardee: RealSelf 100.)

Answer: Post-operative asymmetry Thank you for your question. At this point in time you are still very early in your recovery process. It is normal to still see swelling, as well as asymmetries at this point. If you have another operation scheduled in 5 months you will be able to see a better representation of your final result at that time, and can discuss any revision surgery then. Take care and all the best in your recovery.

Answer: Postoperative asymmetry after thighlift/lipo Hello 3 weeks is still early postoperatively, especially for these procedures which tend to have a great deal of swelling. I recommend patience. This could even out over time. I would assess for possible revision around 6 months after surgery. This may correspond with your next scheduled procedure. However, depending on what other procedures you will be undergoing, it may not be ideal or safe to add additional revision procedures at the same time. Maintain a good relationship with your plastic surgeon and continue to carefully follow her postoperative instructions. Good luck. ABPS board certified plastic surgeon

Answer: Asymmetrical thighs First of all, congratulations on your thigh lift, amit28! It’s only been three weeks since your surgery, so there’s still a lot of swelling involved. It’s also normal to have lumps after surgery, but they resolve in time. Please wait for at least six months or until your next surgery to get it fixed if you’re still unhappy with the results. You may ask your reputable and board-certified plastic surgeon if a revision can be combined with whatever surgery you’re getting.
