Thank you for your question. The blisters that you see can be due to friction or swelling and bruising. These are not unusual and will subside without any further treatment. You can apply any Moisturizer, Vitamin A + D ointment or Vaseline. Please discuss your concerns with your Plastic Surgeon. All The Best !
It looks like the bruising and swelling is causing the skin to swell and just like a burn the layers of the skin can separate a little and cause a blister, I ask patients to apply Vaseline to the area and a dressing but I ask them not to pop them and scratch them
You should definitely discuss this with your surgeon. It is possible she/he put some kind of skin bandage on during the lipo procedure like Tegaderm that you may have reacted to. Your surgeon will know.
Thank you for your question. It can be completely normal. It's likely due to tension that the skin is under - or, it may be due to any sort of adhesive dressing you had on top of the incision. I would suggest not popping the blisters (this will happen on its own), and let your Plastic Surgeon know if things get worse. Best of luck!
June,Blisters are not normal after a liposuction procedure. Sometimes, they are just superficial due to the garment, but more commonly, they are from compromised blood flow to the skin. They should not be overlooked. Contact your Plastic Surgeon ASAP for their assessment and treatment.Good luck with your recovery. You might want to use an ointment; Bacitracin, Neosproin, or Polymyxin and avoid any folds/wrinkles in your garment or even a tight garment until you see your surgeon.Dr T
