I had tummy tuck w/liposuction in 2026. I still have flanks or love handles on each side. I found a place that would do liposuction, but while I'm awake, they only numb the areas, is this safe & will it show great results? Since I had tummy tuck w/ lipo would it be harder to remove the fat from Abd & flanks?
Answer: Very Common Yes, liposuction awake with the tumescent solution and maybe some demerol and valium works great. Completely safe and only mild discomfort. This system is difficult to use if the love handles are really large but great results should be obtainable. It is not any more difficult following your abdominoplasty.

Answer: Liposuction while awake Limited liposuction can be performed under local anesthesia. You do not want to be in pain during the procedure so that the surgeon must stop or do less than what is necessary to provide you with the most dramatic transformation possible. Liposuction results are highly surgeon dependent.
