What are the side effects of tummy tuck with mesh reinforcement?

BabypicassoPhoto or physical exam would be helpful, but traditional abdominoplasty should be all you need. I am aware of the mesh technique, as it it very popular in Europe, but unless you have a hernia, or an extremely weak abdominal wall, mesh is not necessary. Also, since it is a foreign body, the chance for infection exists. Consult a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to explore all your options. Good Luck!

Typically muscle plication is sufficient enough to where mesh isn't needed to create an hour glass shape. Mesh can cause a reaction but doesn't normally happen.
