What is this white tissue coming out of my belly button? (Photo)

Question

I had a Full TT 6 weeks ago. Belly button is still draining and now some red bulging tissue with a thick white strand in middle has emerged. If I pull it, it seems attached and would leave a large hole.

In order to avoid larger problems, addressing these issues now with your physician should provide you with a quicker recovery.  Definitely see your surgeon for an in-person examination to diagnose what may be taking place, and receive treatment accordingly.

It looks like suture material and the redness of your belly button is worrisome. You should see your surgeon immediately.

looks foreign but you must go to surgeon to have it removed/debrided and further evaluated.  Antibiotics may be needed as well along with formal wound care.
