Masturbation/sexual activity after BR + lift? 2 weeks post op.

Question

Hi! I had a breast reduction am so lift with some light tummy lipo two weeks ago. Loving the results and feeling a lot better. My PS said no sex for six weeks.... does that include ALL sex? Can I masturbate or have oral sex with my partner? Planning to discuss at my next appointment in a few days, but wanted some second opinions.

In my opinion, there is no problem with these activities, but check with your surgeon because he or she knows exactly what was done in the operating room, and what to be careful of.

bcnyc.    The fact that you are feeling so much better implies that your recovery is going very well. I usually ask my patients who have gone under similar surgery to wait at least four weeks before resuming heavy lifting or cardio exercises. That usually means sex. However allowances can be made but these should be discussed with your plastic surgeon, who is most familiar with your case and your level of recovery. It would be a shame to ruin your good early result with premature activities that could cause complications.Best of luck.
