I see people say you should at least wait 2 weeks before going back to work, but I really can't take that long off of work. I want to know if it's realistically possible to go back to work after 1 week? I work a desk job and I can work from home 75% of the time.
Answer: Return to work after a mommy makeover? Thank you for your question. This is always a tricky question to answer as different patients experience pain so differently. What is an 8 on the pain scale for one may be a 3 for another, so you do need to think about how you have recovered/experienced pain in the past if you have had other surgeries or injuries. That being said, given that you have a desk job and work from home, my guess is that you would be good to return to work after just one week. Best of luck with your procedure.

Answer: Every Patient Is Different It’s hard to answer this question because every patient and every procedure is completely unique. You may feel comfortable going back to your office job after 1 week, or you might not. It also depends on which procedures you incorporate into your mommy makeover. Even if a patient is no longer uncomfortable or taking prescription pain medications, the healing process can leave her feeling easily fatigued for some time. This is why we use the 2-week mark as a rule of thumb.

Answer: Back to Work after Mommy Makeover Thank you for your question! For my patients having extensive procedures such as abdominoplasty, liposuction, and brazilian butt lift, to name a few, I recommend they take 7-10 days off of work. At 3 weeks they may resume cardio, and 6 weeks they may resume lifting weights and yoga. I recommend consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon for this procedure. Best of luck!

Answer: Returning to Work After a Mommy Makeover This is a discussion you should have with your surgeon. For my patients, I tell them to plan on being off work 2 to 3 weeks. Usually they are able to drive after 2 weeks. Trying to rush your recovery is not a good idea, however people heal at different rates. Good luck.

Answer: Can I go to work a week after surgery Hello, thank you for recent question! I would recommend that you take at least 2 weeks off of work even though you have a desk job. You will be very tired and have drains in place which I would not recommend you return to work until the last drain is out. Best of luck!
