Hello and thank you for your question. In my practice, the safest way to preform this is with general anesthesia administered by a board-certified MD anesthesiologist who is present in the room at all times. If you are an appropriate candidate for a tummy tuck, this can be donethrough a low and short incision, all completely below the bikini line. The belly button can be designed to looknatural and have no scars on the exterior. Your muscles can also be plicated resulting in a flatabdomen. A BBL can be performed at the same time for improvedbuttock and waist contour. Make sure youspecifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who havehad this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with.I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plasticsurgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Both operations are safe in the proper candidates with medical clearance. Both would be difficult awake, especially tummy tuck. Personally, I do not perform tummy tuck with liposuction and fat grafting as one surgery. Risks are higher and post op positioning is very difficult. To attempt both under local without IV and proper anesthesia monitoring is not safe.An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon is recommended to discuss your options and expectations.
