Question

The arm lift revision Left me with a bruised Medial nerve. I have severe pain,numbness, hypersensitive of left hand. My TT has been easy, pain has been minimal. My breasts are another story. I have severe pain in my chest, at sternum and at the top of the implants. Minimal swelling. I hoped by now I would no longer need pain pills and even just using tylenol. After about 12 hours I ended up in tears. I feel like the pain is more in control than I am. Is this level of pain normal 2 weeks post op?

The amount of surgery you had would require narcotics for much more than 2 weeks.  You are not doing yourself any favors by trying to accelerate your recovery

Thank you for your question. You are only 2 weeks out of surgery so it is normal to still feel some discomfort and swelling. However it's difficult to diagnose without photos. The best thing to do is follow up with your plastic surgeon and express your concern where he can properly evaluate you. Best of luck! Dhaval M. I'm sorry you are having such discomfort. We can't really provide much information without an exam so if you are concerned I think you need to call you surgeon and request you be seen. In general we would rather see a patient that is having difficulty just to make sure all is OK. Everyone responds to pain a little differently so this may be nothing, but I feel it would be in your best interest to get checked out. In my practice it is rare to see patients on narcotics after the first 7-10 days with your surgery combination but it does happen sometimes.
