Removing Gore-Tex nasal implant from 10 years ago. Would it cause too much trauma to remove implant and have surgery later?

GoreTex, or ePTFE, has a long track record of safety and permanence when used to raise a nasal bridge appearance. Removal is usually performed if there is infection, or malposition. I can see some visible irregularities on front view. If this is your source of concern, microdroplet Silikon-1000 treatments may be considered for improving your bridge appearance.
If you need to have your implant removed, GorTex gets tissue ingrowth, unlike silicone, and may be a more challenging implant to remove. Hope this helps you. Dr Joseph

Goretex is generally inert and doesn’t incorporate into surrounding tissues... as such, removing goretex tends to be quite easy....although you have been lucky enough not to have been infected, the highest probability for success would be to remove your implant and reconstruct you in 2 separate stages.... that said, it is probably reasonable to do it all in a single stage particularly if a frozen section confirms no bacteria or white blood cells at the time of surgery (the same protocol that the orthopedic joint replacement surgeons use when they put artificial joints in).

Usually, revision rhinoplasty (with or without removal of allograft material) requires supportive structural grafting.... this can be septal cartilage, but in many revisions requires either autologous rib or fresh frozen cadaver rib..
