Hylauronic acid is not on the list of medications, vitamins, and supplements I require my patients to stop before and after surgery. There are, however, several other medications, vitamins, and supplements that I do require patients to stop before and after surgery. It is best to discuss all medications, vitamins, and supplements you are currently taking with your board certified plastic surgeon and follow his or her instructions. Best of luck!
Hi revndriana123, While supplements taken post-operatively do not interfere with the results of your surgery, it is best that you consult and speak with your plastic surgeon about this. Every surgeon has a different post-operative protocol concerning what you can or cannot take after undergoing surgery. It is best to review all of the medications, vitamins and supplements you take with your surgeon prior to surgery. We plastic surgeons all do things somewhat differently including stop and re start dates.
