The shape of your breasts is very normal for the early postoperative period. You can expect the shape to improve over time as the tissues around the implant conform more to the shape of the implant. This will take six weeks to three months or longer.

photograph. At only six days post-op, you are in the earliest stage of
recovery. Your breasts are still swollen and have not had time to settle on
your chest. Over the next three to six months, your implants will fall into
their natural position and soften, achieving a more desirable appearance. Be
patient during this time and allow your body to heal. Carefully follow all of
your doctor’s recovery instructions. If you have any further concerns, I
recommend reaching out to your operating surgeon for his/her advice.

I am sorry to hear about your concerns. At 6 days post-op, you are
still very early in your healing process. This “square-like” shape is perfectly
normal at this stage of healing. With time, the skin will stretch and the
breasts will begin to round out. This process can take several months. If you
have further concerns regarding your healing process, I recommend reaching out

You should not be alarmed just yet. The appearance of your breasts will improve in time. You are in very early stages of healing, the tissue surrounding the implant adjusts and adapts to it as you heal. Some people have different reactions to different types of operations and also different healing processes. With most aesthetic procedures, the appearance improves as you heal.
During your next check up, your surgeon can address this issue in better light. As your surgeon is the one performed your surgery, he can give you the best insight.

mama_3. Not sure how long ago your surgery was performed, but it sounds fairly recent and it is too early to judge your final results. It can take as long as 4 to 6 months for full recovery and final results to be realized. Try to stay patient and follow up with you plastic surgeon. Good luck.

Dear mama_3,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 6 days  post op.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. The “square” appearance that you notice will improve with time. As the skin stretches to accommodate the implant and the lower pole of the breast rounds out, you will notice that the shape of the breast will become more aesthetically pleasing. This process will take weeks to months, but you appear to be healing well. Continue to check in regularly with your plastic surgeon for follow up appointments, and best of luck with your healing process!

At 6 days, you are about 4 percent settled, shaped, softened, dropped and fluffed. "Drop and fluff" refers to the fact that as the skin stretches and the muscles relax, the implants move down and out slowly – about 1 percent a day. It’ll be about six weeks before they even begin to settle down, but they’ll be close to 80 percent settled and softened at three months. Watching their progress is like watching your hair grow. You don’t see a difference in your hair growth daily, but all of a sudden you need a haircut. 
Be patient after surgery. Give yourself a few months before making a judgment about your surgical results. You won't know the outcome until then.
